Young Poet Incarcerated

This film is a fifteen-minute mini-documentary in which an incarcerated young man uses his poetry to paint a picture of himself, his past, and his remarkable struggle toward a better life. It was filmed during the summer of 2005 at the W.J. Maxey Boys Training School in Whitmore Lake, Michigan.

Young Poet Incarcerated was funded by the Northfield Township Area Library, the National Endowment for the Arts, the Michigan Humanities Council, and the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs.
